Thank you for inquiring about Interstellar BBQ! We want you to have a great experience when coming to our location for dine-in, take-out, or pre-order pick ups. It is best to plan your trip to InterStellar BBQ to get the most out of it. We are a small restaurant, and we cook as much as we can to ensure quality, but we do often run out of popular items. We have lines daily when we open at 11:00 a.m. Expect a wait, and for there to be a line both on weekdays, and even longer on weekends. If you plan to visit on a holiday weekend, or during a special event going on in and around town, you can expect longer than usual wait times. If this is your one visit to our restaurant, plan on arriving early to ensure you get what you want. We sell out of food daily but do our best to try to have food until 3:00 p.m. That being said, we cannot guarantee what food we will have late in the day.
When do people start lining up?

People start arriving around 10:00 a.m. on the weekdays and 9:30 a.m. on the weekends. On busy holiday weekends people will start arriving as early as 8:00 a.m.

What time do you sell out of food?

We try to have food available until 3:00 p.m. Typically we start running out of our most popular menu items and daily specials between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.. That being said, some days we get more than usual large group orders, and we may run out of certain items earlier than usual.

What time do I need to arrive to best ensure I can order what I am looking for?

It is best to be here between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. it allows for the shortest wait and full menu options. We recommend arriving no later than 11:30 a.m. on the weekends to have the best chance of having the full menu to order from. However, we cannot guarantee that you will always be able to order from the full menu.

Do you sell alcohol?

No, we do not currently sell alcohol of any kind. If you are of legal drinking age, 21 years or older, and have legal identification on you, you are welcome to bring your own. Just note, our staff always reserves the right to I.D., or to ask you to remove the alcohol, if we are concerned about the situation.

Do you take reservations?

No, we do not take reservations. We have one line for both dine in and same day take out food.

Can I hold a place in line for my friends and family?

We ask that you do not hold spots for large groups to arrive later, or at the last minute. You’re welcome to hold a spot for a friend or two, but please be respectful of others who have been waiting in line.

Can I hold a table for my group?

We ask everyone to order and purchase their food before you seat yourself at a table. Our dining room is small but works as long as people wait to get their food first. If you are having a hard time finding a spot, please ask one of our team members to help you. If someone in your group needs assistance or needs seating before you have ordered food, please reach out to one of our team members. You are more than welcome to bring a folding chair as well.

Do you offer online ordering or catering for large groups/special events?

We offer the option to skip the line and pre-order through our website at theinterstellarbbq.com. Click on the link in the upper right-hand corner labeled “order online”. There is a 72-hour cutoff window and a four pound minimum to place a pre-order. Please note that we do not offer day-of (same day) online ordering. All same-day ordering must be placed at the counter. 

For orders of 30 pounds of meat or less, please place your order through the above mentioned online ordering platform. For larger orders over 30 pounds, you can reach out to the catering team through our catering page to start planning your party. We would be happy to create a custom invoice for your catering needs.

Do I have to wait in line to pick up my pre-order and where do I pick it up?

No, you do not need to wait in line. You can enter through the double doors on the right-hand side of the building. You can pick your pre-order items up at our pick-up counter. A member of our team will go over the order with you, ensuring you have everything you purchased.

Will pre-orders include paper goods, pickles, onions, bread, and BBQ sauce?

Orders will include both of our sauces(red/yellow), pickles, onions, and bread. Quantities are determined by the amount of food ordered. Paper goods and serving utensils as well as extra bread and glass bottles of sauces can be purchased at an additional cost on our online ordering platform.

Can we eat our pre-order food at the restaurant?

We offer our pre-order service option with the intention that you will be taking your food out. We have limited indoor seating and reserve those tables for dine-in guests who have been waiting in line. If there are open tables on our patio you are welcome to eat there or take the food to one of our awesome nearby shaded parks. We would be happy to give recommendations for those locations.

Can I make a phone order to go?

We currently do not take phone orders.

Do you deliver or work with a third-party delivery service?

We currently do not offer delivery or work with any third-party services.

Do you cater large parties/events or offer your location for building buyouts?
